WWT Meteorologist Jennifer Hibbert was recently mobilized to Vostochny, Russia to provide on-site meteorological services as part of the Arkutun Dagi GBS installation project. The project involves the float-out and towage of the Gravity Based Structure (GBS), installation on location offshore Sakhalin Island, and pipeline hookup installation. Direct onboard consultation and forecasting is being provided to ExxonMobil and project contractors in support of these activities. Project commencement was late May and is expected to be completed in mid August.
