WilkensNowcasting Pro - High Resolution Forecasts
Wilkens Weather's high resolution forecasting tool, WilkensNowcasting Pro is an innovative and user friendly metocean operational solution. Designed to provide high quality information and support offshore operational decision-making for increased safety and efficiency.
The data is displayed on a PC ashore or onboard the vessel and is transferred using standard maritime communications equipment, GSM, satellite phone, e-mail or via the internet with vew low bandwidth requirements.
High Resolution Forecasts
Forecast data is displayed hourly for the first 24 hours and every 3 hours for the next 24 hours, both with 0.25 degree spatial resolution, allowing you to define and capitalize on short weather windows.
Detailed weather parameters include:
- Wind speed and direction at 10 and 50 meters
- Significant Wave Height
- Swell Height, Period and Direction
- Current speed and direction at surface and 50m depth
